Stacey Wang is the CEO of the San Francisco Education Fund, an organization dedicated to harnessing the power of the local community to give students, particularly those from underserved communities, the support they need to succeed.
Prior to joining the SF Ed Fund, Stacey worked at Transcend Education where she accelerated the sharing and spreading of innovative school designs across the country and connecting schools to innovations. Stacey has also served as the advisor of the Superintendent and Director of Personalized Learning for Oakland Unified School District. Here she collaborated with system leaders, school leaders, teachers, parents, students, and the broader community to transform schools from traditional models to personalized learning and technology. Enabled models were able to impact over 7,000 students.
Prior to her work in education, Stacey worked at Monitor Deloitte in the strategy practice where she helped Fortune 100 companies and education nonprofits design strategies for large scale organizational change. As part of her work in innovation, she ran a team at the Center for the Edge developing pragmatic frameworks for systemic innovation and change.
Stacey holds a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School with a focus on social entrepreneurship and nonprofit management. She has an undergraduate degree from University California Berkeley, Haas School of Business. Stacey has also completed the Broad Residency where she received a master’s degree in education leadership. Stacey has served as a consultant and board member for numerous education organizations such as Education Pioneers, the New York City Department of Education, and Urban Montessori. She lives in the Bay Area with her husband and daughter.
